Connection of actiTape LTO Professional Line

actiTape LTO Professional Line Tape Drives need to be connected to a SAS-Interface at the host system by using an external SAS cable. Only connection to a SAS HBA will be supported. Any connection of actiTape LTO Professional Line Tape Drive to a RAID Controller will not be supported.

Request for Drivers and Firmware

In most cases actiTape LTO Professional Line Tape Drives will be operated by a professional backup or archive software. Refer to the software manufacturers support documentation for implementing a LTO Tape Drive in their software architecture. 

Operating Systems, like most Linux derivates or Microsoft Windows are supporting LTO Tape Drives with own drivers. If these drivers are not available with the delivery package (i.e. USB-Stick) please contact the OS manufacturer or actidata.
